Vector, CMYK, Cut.... Many Types of Production Files

There are a great number of print or production file types. Which one is best for your project?
Any type of image or bitmap file can be used for printing, JPG, BMP, PSD.... however the most versitile file is a Vector FIle.

Vector files are paths or lines joined by anchor points. They are quite different than a bitmap type file. Vector files do not pixelate when enlarged, bitmap files do become pixelated lowering the quality of the print. These files produce sharp, crisp, amazing looking signs with solid colours. The vector files can presevere Pantone colour information for consistant apperance nessasary in branding. Colours can also be changed easily to any output desired.

I have recreated many logos and other graphics from bitmap type files. These files can be used on labels, tee shirts, mugs, stationary, promotional or appreciation items, cut files for the illuminated sign on your store front or enlarged to billboards and building wraps.Vector files can be used on the web in Flash animations as scalable graphics, the list is almost endless.

A recent example of making a versatile vector file for TGT Construction. The logo was the design of the company owner who sent me a scan of his drawing. Together we finished the details of the logo, fine tuning the graphic to his satisfaction.
